After gaining a First Class Honours degree in Psychology, I worked as a solicitor in a City of London law firm for nine years. Later, I retrained with the Publishing Training Centre (recognised as the 'gold-standard' qualification by the UK publishing industry). Since then, I've completed courses in proofreading and copy-editing with the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP), including their rigorous mentoring course, achieving maximum marks. I am an Advanced Professional Member of the SfEP.

 

As well as editing, I also write books. I've had a children's book published and I've written a full-length YA novel. When I'm not writing or editing, I love spending time with my husband and children, socialising with friends, making clothes, walking in the woods with our miniature schnauzer and family trips in our camper van.
